How to Set Up Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect lets you securely accept donations, sell merchandise, and run crowdfunding campaigns on Shenhav. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Shenhav account

    Go to shenhav.com/auth/signin and sign in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to your Fundraising or Store tab

    Go to My Profile and click on the Fundraising or Store tab.

  3. Submit your application

    If you haven't already, click Apply to Accept Funds and fill out the short application form. This allows Shenhav to verify your eligibility to receive funds.

  4. Wait for approval

    The Shenhav team will review your application. You'll be notified once a decision has been made. This is typically a quick process.

  5. Click “Setup My Stripe Connect Account”

    Once approved, you'll see a Setup My Stripe Connect Account button. Click it and a new window will open with Stripe's onboarding flow. This takes about 3–5 minutes. Have the following information ready:

    • Business type — individual or company/organization

    • Legal name — your full legal name (must match your government-issued ID)

    • Date of birth

    • Home address — your current residential address

    • Last 4 digits of your SSN — used for identity verification (Stripe may request the full SSN in some cases)

    • Phone number — for two-factor authentication and account recovery

  6. Add your bank account for payouts

    Stripe will ask you to connect a bank account where your funds will be deposited. You'll need:

    • Bank account number — your checking or savings account number

    • Routing number — your bank's 9-digit routing number (found on your checks or bank's website)

    Alternatively, you can link your bank account instantly by logging in through Stripe's secure bank connection (powered by Plaid).

  7. Verify your identity

    Depending on your account, Stripe may ask you to upload a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) to verify your identity. This is a one-time step and your documents are handled securely by Stripe — Shenhav never sees them.

  8. Start accepting payments

    Once your Stripe account is active, you can immediately start accepting donations, selling merchandise, and running crowdfunding campaigns. Payouts are sent to your bank account automatically on a rolling basis (typically within 2 business days).
